Winter 2025: Returning with Purpose | A Daughter’s Quiet Strength

I came back to help care for my mom during her final season—not to revisit old family drama, not to fix the past, but to be present and do what was right. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I was in a failing marriage, unemployed, and emotionally spent. But I showed up with purpose.

What unfolded was a crash course in hospice, late nights, and a lot of learning on the fly. No meds. No real roadmap. I asked questions, reached out, and found people who could guide me. I did my best. There was a major blow-up in the family too—one of those moments where you either lose it or lead. I led. Quietly, but clearly.

This wasn’t just about caregiving—it was a time when I reconnected with two of my sisters, found small pockets of peace, and made space to say what I needed to say to my mom. She may not have fully heard me, but I said it. Our relationship was never simple. She lived in survival mode and didn't have the emotional tools to connect deeply. Still, I see where I come from. I see what she did pass on.

This album isn’t about closure—it’s about truth. It's a record of what it means to show up anyway. With love, courage, and clarity.
